e-SG Electric Steam Generators

Technology

Depending on process requirements, e-SG industrial electric boilers can be designed with resistances or hybrid technology, combining traditional fuels and electricity.

Electric resistances: available in low and medium voltage.

They are ideal for power up to 7 MW and for all types of industrial users and processes. This is a proven technology with a simple, safe, and user-friendly design. For applications above 7 MW, customized solutions are developed to ensure efficiency and reliability.

Integrated hybrid system: represents a strategic option for the energy transition, as it can operate with both traditional fuels (including hydrogen) and electricity.

The electric component can be activated as an alternative to fuel supply to optimize energy costs in real time or used in parallel to effectively manage peak demand.

Demineralization Plant

To ensure optimal performance, boiler feed water must have very low hardness and conductivity to minimize blow-down and heat loss.
Treatment can be performed using membrane technology or ion-exchange systems. Depending on the quality of the water source, specific pre-treatment may be required to achieve the correct parameters.

Deaerator

To protect the boiler and the system from corrosion, it is essential to remove dissolved gases such as CO₂ and O₂ from the feed water.
Different boiler water deaeration technologies are available: conventional deaerators with a tank and external oxygen stripping tower, or compact units where stripping occurs in a dedicated section within the same storage tank. Performance ranges from 7 to 20 ppb, depending on the unit installed.

Condensate Treatment

Recovering and purifying process steam condensate is a key step for reducing overall water consumption and improving energy efficiency by reusing the heat contained in the condensate.

Chemical Dosing

Chemical conditioning of boiler water is an additional treatment step carried out after the deaerator and before entering the boiler.

Using chemical conditioners ensures water meets system requirements, improves energy optimization of the steam generator + water treatment package, and helps reduce operational and disposal costs.
