Technology

Our smoke tube technology is purpose-built for internal combustion engines, aimed to maximize heat recovery from exhaust emissions while minimizing back pressure. The system offers the option to incorporate an additional recovery mechanism, enhancing overall performance, and is guided by two core principles: reliability and ease of maintenance, ensuring dependable, hassle-free solutions. These versatile systems are compatible with internal combustion engines up to 15 MW or can be seamlessly integrated into various heat recovery processes.

Auxiliary boilers

Auxiliary boilers play a crucial role in supporting the heat recovery generation, ensuring continuity and operational reliability across all working conditions. When the heat available from exhaust gases becomes insufficient or temporarily unavailable, Cannon Bono’s auxiliary solutions provide immediate thermal back-up to maintain stable steam or hot water production. Advanced control systems, hot stand-by capability, and rapid start-up performance allow the auxiliary boiler to integrate with the SGR and SMR series, securing uninterrupted operation and optimizing overall plant efficiency.

For this purpose, auxiliary units can be supplied as CT series water tube boilers — bi-drum, D-type, natural-circulation — or as SG series fire tube generators, offering flexible and fully compatible options tailored to the thermal profile and configuration of the SGR system.
