Technology

The CTR heat recovery units are a water tube, bi-drum, natural circulation, based on the multitubular design of the CT boilers, if auxiliary firing is required natural gas and liquid fuels can be adopted.

Our designs not only provide innovative solutions but also enhance installation benefits. Heat recovery generators can be seamlessly integrated behind gas turbines with capacities up to 15 MW or employed in high-temperature industrial applications.

Equipped with an advanced control system, they exemplify the pinnacle of efficiency and sustainability.

Integrated control

CTR heat recovery boilers can be equipped with an integrated control system designed to ensure simple, efficient, and reliable operation. The dedicated workstation enables full boiler control and supervision, providing operators with a clear and comprehensive view of the system’s performance.

The control system supports centralized management over the entire process, allowing real-time interaction with the unit through an intuitive video display. Continuous monitoring enhances operational safety and responsiveness, while both hardware and software can be configured and customized to meet specific process requirements, ensuring maximum flexibility and long-term operational reliability.

With the use of advanced AI technologies, the system can also leverage Cannon Bono’s OPC (Optimal Predictive Control) to support predictive maintenance. This enables early identification of performance deviations, optimization of operating parameters, and improved overall efficiency, ensuring higher availability and extended lifecycle of the boiler.

Auxiliary systems

Our control system leads to efficient heat recovery by adapting to changing conditions to maximize energy recovery.

When heat demand exceeds available exhaust heat, it accommodates supplementary firing, involving the controlled introduction of additional fuel into the heat generation system (post firing).

The “fresh air” auxiliary system is designed to provide a continuous supply of thermal energy as a backup in case the gas turbine malfunctions.

Auxiliary boilers ensure continuous and reliable operation of the heat-recovery system under any condition. When exhaust-gas heat is insufficient or unavailable, Cannon Bono’s auxiliary units provide instant thermal support to keep steam or hot-water production stable. With advanced controls, hot stand-by, and fast start-up, they integrate seamlessly with the CTR series to maintain uninterrupted performance and enhance overall efficiency.

Depending on system needs, auxiliary solutions can be supplied as CT series water-tube boilers (bi-drum, D-type, natural circulation) or SG series fire-tube generators, ensuring flexible and fully compatible configurations.
