We supplied a third, highly customized SG 1200 fire tube boiler to Staatsolie Suriname NV. The new boiler, specifically designed for the oil and gas sector, marks a significant expansion of the energy plant at the Tout Lui Faut refinery, south of Paramaribo. It incorporates unique engineering customization and advanced features to meet the challenging conditions of the refinery’s environment, including proximity to the sea and corrosive refinery gasses.
The fire tube steam boiler SG 1200 produces 12 tons/h of superheated steam at 260°C, running on fuel gas or heavy fuel oil. The steam produced by the boiler will be utilized in various refinery processes. They needed to integrate the additional boiler into the current operations and selected us because of the positive experience from the previous order they placed in 2012. The reliability of our products, customization capabilities, and understanding of the specific challenges facing the oil and gas sector have contributed to their awarding us this repeat business.

However, we have introduced several improvements to the previous project to match the customer’s requirements. One of those is a dedicated burner that can operate using several types of fuel, including the waste gasses from the refinery process, while also optimizing fuel efficiency.”
